I have been teaching Kindergarten, First Grade, and now Transitional Kindergarten in the San Jacinto district for 29 years. I am the oldest of nine and my mother started a family of teachers many years ago. I am a graduate of the San Jacinto High School and I join the team twice a year to light up the "S" mountain for Homecoming and Graduation.
I have lived in San Jacinto since 1968 and my first career was to be the first woman police officer for the San Jacinto Police Department. I participated/performed in the Ramona Pageant for more than 35 years. I belong to Heritage Grange and support the children who show their animals in the fairs.
I love this community and I really enjoy our children. I get to come to work smiling and anticipating a great day and I get to go home smiling because of all the learning adventures we went on together!
As we finish up parent conferences, please notice areas your child needs extra help in and find fun learning ways to master these skills. We had a great field trip to the college, so have discussions about future goals with your child. Have them describe all we saw and did on our trip to the pumpkin patch. As we begin the Raising a Reader program, read and discuss each book. Have your child retell the story. Make sure you return the books every Wednesday.
